POSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Manager will collaborate directly with the Founders, General Manager, and Director of Operations to ensure the vision for Asia Live is fully realized. As a new business, Asia Live’s operating environment will evolve, and the ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments that require resourcefulness and creative problem-solving abilities.
The Retail Manager is responsible for all retail and guest-facing retail functions at Asia Live, including driving sales results and building our company’s culture of customer service excellence. The Retail Manager works with the Director of Operations to ensure all aspects of day-to-day retail operations at Asia Live are adhering to our standards, policies and protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include percentage of time spent on each duty/responsibility and categorize it from highest to lowest percentage. This is not inclusive of all duties, just the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for executing retail store budget.
• Ongoing monitoring of sales goals, daily sales and MTD and YTD sales to budget and adjusts operational expenses accordingly.
• Works with ownership and staff to maximize conversion rate, average sales, daily transactions and total transactions.
• Develop and maintain necessary systems for purchasing, receiving and maintaining inventory of products to manage from selection, purchasing, receiving, ticketing, pars, and visual merchandising (with ownership).
• Establishes and maintains high quality standards in all operational, merchandising and employee activities
• Leads and Champions Asia Live retail vision and strategies and ensures that store is merchandised to sell. Works closely with Founders and DOP to establish and execute CL standards and vision.
• Recruit, retain and develop an engaged sales driven team and ensure all staff know their merchandise. Model and create environment for exceptional customer service
• Continuous performance manages staff, provide on-going feedback, and identify and develop next managers.
• Protect all company assets and maintain Loss Prevention critical controls
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Work in tandem with Culinary Program and Culinary Manager for retail cross-selling opportunities and seasonal initiatives. Work with events/catering team to maximize retail opportunities.
• Assists ownership with the development of all Asia Live retail products and retail brand extensions.
• Coordinates e-commerce rollout and day-to-day e-commerce operations. Assists with other retail initiatives with executive team.
• Maintains market awareness of trends and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage, driving revenue and sales results.
• Communicates marketing opportunities to ownership for implementation. When possible, participate in community activities that are beneficial to living the Asia Live Mission and sales efforts
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversight of all street-level retail floor and stocking staff including hiring, training, scheduling, managing and evaluating.
• Coordinates daily and weekly scheduling of staffing levels with the Director of Operations and Culinary Director.
• Participates in the Annual Budget process including revenues, expenses and staffing guides
• Assists in the recruitment and retention of high quality, experienced store staff who will be effective in maintaining a store environment consistent with our Mission Statement and Core Values.
• Supervises store staff and works with the core management team and ownership to hire, evaluate, and motivate staff as well as adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develop training materials and programs to ensure adherence to all standards.
• Supervises the administration of company HR programs including, but not limited to, performance reviews, compensation action, discipline, retention or employee records and benefit programs.
• Ensures awareness and compliance with State and Federal Employment laws and regulations.
• Develops and implements training programs in guest service, merchandising, loss prevention, product knowledge and all other pertinent operational task necessary to perform at the highest levels.
• Attends monthly financial review meeting and reforecasts sales as necessary.
• Develops and maintains a monthly marketing calendar of tastings, demos and promotions.
• Coordinates all retail signage with ownership.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• 3+ year of retail sales and supervisory experience desired
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 35lbs
• Ability to climb and descend a ladder to retrieve or move merchandise
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (3+ hours)
• A flexible schedule, including daytime, nights, and weekend availability
• Ability to operate a computer, POS/register system, keyboards, and scanners
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Must be at least 18 years old
