We are looking for an experienced Intermodal/Drayage Dispatcher with hands-on knowledge of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
This is NOT an entry-level position. You must have previous port/drayage dispatch experience and be able to manage daily operations in a fast-paced trucking environment.
This is remote job and expected to work 10hrs a day.
Responsibilities
Dispatch and manage up to 10 trucks/drivers daily
Schedule and monitor port appointments
Check container availability, holds, LFDs, and empty returns
Dispatch import/export containers and manage daily driver activity
Enter and update container, chassis, appointment, and load information in the TMS
Communicate with drivers and customers by phone and email
Track PODs and completed loads
Understand DCLI/private chassis, chassis pools, splits, and chassis usage
Handle multiple loads, drivers, appointments, and customer requests simultaneously
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of Intermodal/Drayage dispatch experience
Must understand Los Angeles & Long Beach port operations
Familiar with terminals including APM, TTI, LBCT, ITS, Pier A, Matson, and other LA/LB terminals
Experience with TMSEZ, PortPro, CargoWise, Dray Dog, or similar TMS
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Must be comfortable managing drivers in a fast-paced environment
