Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Millwork Carpenter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial millwork, custom cabinetry, and fixture fabrication.
This position is responsible for building and assembling high-quality custom millwork according to shop drawings, specifications, and production requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong attention to quality, accuracy, and safety.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and production specifications.
Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, retail fixtures, displays, wall panels, shelving, and other architectural millwork.
Work with materials including plywood, MDF, Medex, melamine, laminate, veneer, hardwood, and solid wood.
Measure, cut, assemble, laminate, and finish components accurately according to drawings.
Install hardware including hinges, drawer slides, adjustable shelving hardware, fasteners, and related components.
Operate standard woodworking equipment and power tools safely.
Inspect completed components for dimensions, fit, finish, and overall quality.
Identify fabrication or drawing issues and communicate them to the Shop Lead or Production Manager.
Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Complete assigned projects according to production schedules and required completion dates.
Assist with rework, modifications, prototypes, and custom fabrication when required.
Work collaboratively with CNC, Engineering, Metal, Finishing, Solid Surface, QC, and Packaging departments as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in commercial millwork, custom cabinetry, fixture manufacturing, or finish carpentry preferred.
Ability to read and understand shop drawings and measurements.
Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Experience working with laminate, veneer, plywood, MDF, and hardwood.
Ability to use tape measures and accurately work with fractions and dimensions.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials and fabricated components.
Ability to safely operate woodworking tools and equipment.
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive fabrication tasks as required.
