Description:
Supports senior management and operations by managing the community while collaborating with the Administrator. Overseeing day-to-day office workflows.
Responsibilities:
Maintain continuous compliance with local, state and federal healthcare licensing standards, such as DHS standards.
Perform routine physical building walk-throughs to verify cleanliness, safety, proper equipment upkeep, and adherence to environmental rules
Review medical charts, medication administration records, and individual resident intake files for absolute accuracy
Oversee recruitment, direct onboarding, performance evaluations, and daily scheduling of all DCS and Medication Techs
Track all attendance of employees, process payroll if not already done by Administrator, resolve call-offs, cover shifts in an emergency
Provide ongoing regulatory staff training, policy enforcement and mentorship to ensure a compassionate culture of care
Liaise between residents, on staff nurses, external physicians, and physical therapists to coordinate external appointments or transport logistics
Assist with intake processing, facility tours, resident orientations, and financial billing reviews
Act as a main point of contact for resident families answering quality-of-care questions and resolving complaints
Maintain accountability for staying within the budgets provided for each department of the community
Supervise confidential resident files, employee files and general administrative files
Answer telephone calls, taking messages
Writing memos, correspondence, invoices, receipts, spreadsheets and other reports as needed.
Attends to other duties as required by the Administrator and Regional Director
Education and requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in a Personal Care Home
1-2 years supervisory or administrative experience
High-stress adaptability, conflict resolution
Experience in healthcare preferred, but will train
