Van Driver (Non-CDL) to support our transportation operations in Honolulu. This position is responsible for safely transporting clean and soiled linen between our facility and customer locations while providing excellent customer service and following Company policies and applicable traffic and safety requirements.

Position Summary
The
Van Driver (Non-CDL) is responsible for safely operating a Company van or other non-CDL vehicle to deliver clean linen and pick up soiled linen from designated customer locations.
The position requires safe and responsible driving, accurate handling of customer orders, completion of required delivery documentation, and professional interaction with customers. The Van Driver works closely with the Transportation and Production teams to help ensure timely and accurate customer service
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Van Driver typically performs a variety of duties, which may include:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip checks of the assigned vehicle and promptly report identified safety or mechanical concerns.
- Load clean linen and other assigned products into the vehicle and verify the accuracy of loads against delivery tickets, route information, or other applicable documentation.
- Safely operate a Company van or other non-CDL vehicle to designated customer locations.
- Deliver clean linen and other assigned products to customers in accordance with established routes and delivery requirements.
- Pick up soiled linen, bags, containers, or other designated items from customer locations and safely return them to the facility.
- Verify deliveries and pickups to help ensure the correct quantities and products are being delivered to or retrieved from each customer.
- Interact professionally and courteously with hotel staff, customers, and members of the public.
- Promptly communicate customer concerns, complaints, special requests, shortages, or service issues to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.
- Complete required trip sheets, delivery records, route documentation, and other paperwork accurately and timely.
- Promptly report vehicle damage, mechanical problems, accidents, incidents, injuries, or other concerns involving Company vehicles or equipment.
- Promptly communicate delays affecting pickups or deliveries, including vehicle problems, weather, traffic, customer access issues, or other circumstances.
- Safely load, unload, move, and secure linen, bags, carts, containers, and other products as required.
- Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, customer instructions, and applicable customer safety and delivery requirements.
- Operate Company vehicles in accordance with Company policies and applicable federal, state, and local traffic and safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Company appropriately while operating Company vehicles and interacting with customers and the public.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle and promptly report concerns requiring attention.
- Follow all Company safety, attendance, customer service, and operational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or Manager to meet operational and customer needs.
Qualifications And Minimum Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned non-commercial vehicle.
- CDL is not required for this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a driving record that meets Company requirements.
- Must be able to safely operate a Company van or other assigned non-CDL vehicle.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently while completing assigned routes and deliveries.
- Ability to comply with customer-specific delivery and safety requirements.
Job-Specific Skills
- Previous delivery, van driving, route service, hospitality, warehouse, or similar experience preferred.
- Ability to follow maps, GPS, assigned routes, and directions to reach destinations safely and efficiently.
- Ability to safely maneuver and park a van in customer loading areas, parking lots, and other designated delivery locations.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure linen and other assigned products.
- Ability to complete basic calculations and required delivery or transportation documentation.
- Ability to organize and prioritize deliveries and pickups based on assigned routes and operational needs.
- Ability to communicate promptly when encountering delays, shortages, customer concerns, or other delivery issues.
Work Hours
- Must have scheduling flexibility based on operational and customer needs.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays when scheduled.
- Start and end times may vary depending on routes, customer requirements, traffic, workload, and operational needs.

Employees are expected to use appropriate equipment, safe work practices, and assistance when necessary to safely handle loads.

Wage Information
- The starting wage is no less than $19.00 per hour.
- Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the employee's regular rate of pay, when applicable. At a $19.00 hourly rate, the overtime rate is $28.50 per hour.
- A higher starting rate may be offered based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
- Our Company's pay period starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.
- Payroll is processed weekly, with employees generally paid on the Thursday following the end of the pay period.
- Rate increases and/or bonuses may be offered at the Company's discretion based on individual factors such as performance, skill, experience, and tenure.
- The Company will make deductions from an employee's paycheck as required by law.
- Employees may elect to participate in available benefit plans, including medical, drug, vision, dental, FSA, and other voluntary insurance plans, for which an employee share of premiums may be deducted from payroll.
- Voluntary deductions will be appropriately authorized.

The working environment includes commercial vehicles, customer properties, loading and unloading areas, and an industrial commercial laundry facility. Employees may encounter noise, heat, rain, changing weather conditions, traffic, moving vehicles and equipment, fumes, airborne particles, wet areas, and frequent movement of linen carts.
Personal Protective Equipment may be required for certain areas or tasks.

- Remain aware of pedestrians, vehicles, carts, loading areas, and other potential hazards.
- Report hazardous conditions promptly to management.
- Immediately report vehicle accidents, incidents, injuries, or property damage in accordance with Company procedures.
- Report any job-related injury or illness to management and seek appropriate treatment promptly.
