INTRODUCTION
County Electric is a Design Build Electrical Contractor servicing Northwest Ohio looking for a Electrical CAD Designer for our Design Build operations. This would involve design build of commercial and industrial building including lighting, branch circuiting and power distribution systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience creating and editing drawings in CAD
General knowledge of building and construction techniques
Able to read and understand building construction drawings
Electrical background, experience, education, or training
Willingness to learn and understand all @types of electrical systems
Basic understanding of NEC
Self-motivated
Good problem-solver and able to deal with demanding details and deadlines
Accurate and thorough with paperwork
Reliable and responsible
Good human relations and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Design
Develop detailed understanding of projects
Produce CAD drawings for permitting, construction, and cordination
Review material data sheets and coordinate with other trades
Prepare calculations and final design
Create bills of material
Manage electronic files
Attend design meetings, take notes and implement changes
Become familiar with lighting and perform photometric layouts
Oversee and assisting with as-builds
Site visits
Attend on site progress and coordination meetings
Meet with utility company
Coordinate with County Electric employees and other contractors
Problem solve issues that arise
Permitting
Submit plans to building departments
Apply for permits
Organize and submit corrections
