Robert Half Financial Services is partnering with a highly respected and rapidly growing investment firm in the East Bay on a Senior Fund Manager opportunity.
This is a great opportunity for someone coming from hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, fund accounting, tax, finance, or investment operations who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and wants a role with broad exposure across the investment platform.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role with significant variety, autonomy, and opportunity to make an impact. The responsibilities can evolve based on your experience and strengths, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of increasingly complex operational, financial, and project-based initiatives.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners and have exposure to multiple investment structures, including open-ended funds and venture capital funds.
What You'll Do
Support day-to-day investment and fund operations for open-ended investment funds.
Reconcile trades, positions, cash, and other investment activity between internal records and external service providers.
Partner with fund administrators, custodians, brokers, and other external partners to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely processing.
Support the full trade lifecycle, including settlements, corporate actions, cash movements, and related operational activities.
Assist with operational and financial processes across additional fund structures, including venture capital funds.
Help identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
Take ownership of ad hoc projects and special initiatives across the firm.
Work independently while collaborating closely with a highly experienced and knowledgeable team.
Grow the scope of the role based on your background, interests, and ability to take on new challenges.
Requirements
5+ years of experience within a hedge fund, investment management, private equity, venture capital, or related financial services environment.
Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including fund accounting, accounting, tax, finance, or investment operations.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve.
Naturally curious and eager to learn new areas of the business.
A resourceful, analytical thinker who can independently research, troubleshoot, and find solutions.
Someone who takes ownership and is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
