Job Description
A private equity backed organization in a landscape of hypergrowth acquisition is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. Reporting to the VP/Controller, the Accounting Manager position is a key member of the finance and accounting function whose key objective is to ensure all company financial transactions and reporting are in accordance with GAAP. This position is for an experienced finance leader who believes Accounting is not just about recording the numbers but is instead an important function in the organization uniquely positioned to use numbers to identify business opportunities and strategies. With a focus on getting the numbers right and a strong ethical bias, you have confidence in your ability to drive improvements across the business as well as within the day-to-day operations of the accounting function.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:?
Oversee AP, AR, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Cash Management.
Producing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and work papers including documentation on both a consolidated level and branch level.
Provide direct oversight of corporate accounting staff at close including review of journal entries, oversight of account reconciliations, and review of account fluctuations from historical actuals and forecast.
Assisting with the annual budget process and pro-forma budgets for recent acquisitions.
Comfortably lead a team of direct reports that will incrementally grow as the business scales.
Assign duties and monitor work of staff for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
Support the annual audit process and the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls, procedures, and remediation plans in response to audit findings.
Proactively seek opportunities to improve financial performance through reduced business expenses, improved cash flows and near and mid-term business decisions.
Drive process improvement initiatives focused on the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function by eliminating lower value, manual processes through simplification and root cause investigation.
Possess management skills to plan, organize and execute responsibilities for accurate and timely completion of financial reporting.
Ability to communicate and develop working relationships with others inside and outside of the company.
Partner with other functions of the business to grow accounting mind share with key stakeholders and find resolutions beneficial for both the business and the accounting operations.
Comfortable being an entrepreneur in a highly ambiguous environment with minimal oversight.
Assist with an ERP integration project and additional process improvement projects.

Compensation:
$130,000 to $140,000 - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred.
7-10 years of experience in accounting preferably with highly acquisitive businesses
3+ years of management experience and natural leadership skills.
5 + years of experience owning the monthly/annual close process.
7+ years of full-cycle, hands-on accounting experience.
Proficient with WIP/POC accounting.
Private Equity experience with a focus on growth via M&A.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
Strong ERP experience including implementation and upgrade experience.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Must work four days on-premises, one day remote.
