Sea Hive is hiring!
We’re looking for an awesome, reliable, and personable Staff Supervisor to join our team at Sea Hive Station in Liberty Station.
Sea Hive is a collective of local vendors selling vintage, antiques, handmade goods, clothing, home decor, and other carefully curated finds. We’re passionate about creating a unique shopping experience for both locals and visitors, and we’re looking for someone who can help us maintain a welcoming, positive, and well-run store.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, has great attention to detail, and can confidently take charge of the store when needed.
--Schedule & Availability--
This position is scheduled for 30–37 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during the holiday season.
Open availability is required, and weekend availability is a must.
Our typical store hours are 11am–6pm daily, with extended hours during the busy holiday season.
The holiday season is our busiest time of year, so we have a blackout period for time-off requests between Black Friday and New Year's. Please do not apply if you already have vacation or extended time off planned during this period.
We use a ranked holiday system to help distribute holiday scheduling fairly. Sea Hive is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, with reduced hours on the eves of these holidays.
--What You'll Do--
Our staff is responsible for creating a great customer experience while keeping the store clean, organized, and running smoothly.
General responsibilities include:
* Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service
* Operating the cash register and handling cash accurately
* Assisting customers with merchandise and questions
* Providing fitting room assistance
* Tidying and maintaining vendor booths
* Maintaining a clean and inviting sales floor
* Staying aware of potential loss prevention issues
* Light janitorial and cleaning duties
* Helping vendors and staff as needed
* Creating social media content and posts when scheduled
As a Supervisor, you will also:
* Open and close the store
* Handle cash and complete daily deposits
* Oversee the sales floor and staff during your shifts
* Help maintain a positive and productive work environment
* Assist with training and coaching staff
* Help the Store Lead with delegated projects and tasks
* Respond appropriately to customer, vendor, and staff issues
* Help ensure store policies and procedures are followed
* Step in and take initiative when something needs to be done
If you have experience with social media, that's a plus! Our small staff team rotates responsibility for weekly social media posting.
