Singing Hills Memorial Park is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper/Landscaping Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the beauty, cleanliness, and overall appearance of our cemetery grounds while providing respectful support during services.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain lawns, landscaping, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and other landscaped areas.
-Mow, edge, trim, weed, blow, and perform general grounds maintenance.
-Plant, prune, and care for trees, plants, and seasonal landscaping.
-Maintain cleanliness and appearance of cemetery grounds, walkways, and common areas.
-Assist with preparing gravesites and surrounding areas for services.
-Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely.
-Assist with general cemetery maintenance and special projects as needed.
-Be present and assist during funeral and memorial services when required.
-Occasionally assist with carrying caskets during funeral services.
-Interact with families, visitors, and funeral service personnel in a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner.
-Follow all safety procedures and cemetery policies.
Qualifications:
-Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, gardening, or cemetery maintenance experience preferred.
-Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
-Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and carrying.
-Must be comfortable participating in funeral services and occasionally assisting with carrying caskets.
-Must demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and respect when working around grieving families.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
-Valid driver's license preferred.
