Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency - Weekend Cadre Midnight Shift
* Full Time - 36 hours per 6 week schedule
* Sign-on Bonus eligible
Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience or New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech experience.
About the Hospital / Department
Emergency Unit at Genesys is a Trauma Level 111. This is a 47 bed unit with an additional 10 bed overflow. 2 dedicated trauma bays. This unit excels in stroke & cardiac care.

Role Overview
As an RN- Inpatient Weekend, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and coordination of quality patient care in our inpatient unit. Working weekend shifts, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families. Your role is essential in ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

What You Will Do
- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families.
- Communicate pertinent patient/family information effectively to the healthcare team.
- Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
Qualifications
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience; if Nurse Resident, all residency requirements must be completed including clinical requirements.
- Current RN licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
