Senior Consultant
positions offered by PA Consulting Group Inc. (Denver

Lead or contribute to quantitative analysis and model development as part of energy infrastructure investment, expert witness testimony, market and regulatory proceedings, benefits case assessments, whitepaper development, stakeholder engagement, business model development, and business integration. Develop and execute creative approaches to quantitatively evaluating energy infrastructure benefits and costs as well as risks and risk mitigation. Independently initiate and complete analysis surrounding optimization in competitive markets, stochastic simulations, and the interplay between zero-or low-marginal cost resources and traditional energy generators. Lead quantitative research tasks related to energy, ancillary services, and capacity markets. Develop new models and tools that support a long-term view of battery storage economics and energy market evolution, especially in light of clean energy policies. Successfully navigate and meet deadlines that span a range of different projects with investor, utility, and independent power producer clients.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in each of the following:
o Performing data analytics or advanced statistical analysis;
o Working in energy infrastructure or markets;
o Managing multiple projects concurrently and adjusting to shifting deadlines;
o Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.
Must have education, training, or experience with:
o Coding using Python, SQL, or similar.
Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
Position reports to Denver, CO office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
*We are offering a salary range of $170,000 to $175,000
