Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Specialist to join our team. This position serves as a key liaison between our Billing Department and clients, ensuring invoices are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of routine and problem-solving. While many responsibilities follow established processes, each day presents opportunities to analyze information, resolve discrepancies, and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with computer systems, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Curiosity, adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are qualities that contribute to long-term success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Review pre-bills to ensure invoices comply with client requirements and billing guidelines.
- Generate, process, and submit invoices and supporting documentation using web-based billing platforms.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and invoice-related issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external billing inquiries.
- Compare and validate information across multiple systems to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with process improvements and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Maintain organized and accurate billing records.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new software applications and web-based systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in billing, finance, administrative support, customer service, or data entry.
- Familiarity with bankruptcy and/or foreclosure processes.
- Experience working with invoice processing or financial systems.
