PHYSICAL THERAPY / PTA/NURSING STUDENT — SHORT-TERM PAID CARE OPPORTUNITY
Newcastle, California | 4–6 Weeks | Morning + Evening Short Shifts | Paid Weekly
Greetings everyone, we hope this finds you well. This is Bianca and Alicia. We are managers in the people development, life enrichment and the rehab nursing tech department of Age In Place Sacramento.
We are posting here today because we have a great paid care gig for someone who is physically capable, genuinely compassionate, remarkably dependable, and excited to turn classroom learning into meaningful hands-on experience. You know that type of a person with the strength to help, the heart to care, the reliability to be counted on, and the curiosity to learn? Yes, that type of a person!.
Here is what is going on and the story behind this opportunity: One day, a boy met a girl. One thing let to another thing and they were inseparable. They later got married and have enjoyed decades of a beautiful and highly successful married. Over the last year, he has had a few health challenges requiring concierge care at home.
His amazing caregiver is on vacation and we are looking for the right person to fill in for her for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
This is not your typical caregiving assignment.
This is a 4–6 week recovery-focused assignment that may be an excellent fit for a:
• Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• PTA student
• Physical therapy student
• Kinesiology or exercise science student
• Nursing/CNA student with strong mobility skills
• Experienced caregiver comfortable assisting with mobility and exercise
Our client needs someone who can come into his home and help him get up, get moving, and participate in his prescribed exercise and daily mobility routine.
Just as important, we want to give his lovely wife some relief.
Caregiving for someone you love can become physically and emotionally exhausting. Your presence can give this couple something very valuable: support, confidence, and time to simply enjoy being husband and wife again.
THE SCHEDULE
Morning: Every Tuesdays and Thursdays approximately 8:00 AM–11:00 AM
Morning: Every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays approximately 8:00 AM-9:30 AM
Evening: approximately 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Assignment length: approximately 4–6 weeks
Location: Newcastle, California
Pay: Competitive hourly compensation, paid weekly
This is ideal for someone who wants a meaningful short-term assignment that can fit around school, clinicals, another position, or other commitments.
WHAT YOU WILL HELP WITH
You will work with and alongside his private and concierge physical therapist who has an established care plan to assist with:
• Getting out of bed safely
• Transfers and mobility assistance
• Walking and movement
• Supporting completion of prescribed exercises
• Encouraging activity and participation
• Personal care assistance as needed
• Helping him build confidence with movement
• Providing companionship and positive encouragement
• Giving his wife a dependable period of respite
WE NEED SOMEONE WHO IS PHYSICALLY CAPABLE
This gentleman needs hands-on physical assistance, so this is not an assignment for someone who is uncomfortable with transfers, mobility support, or physical caregiving.
We are looking for someone who is:
STRONG. DEPENDABLE. PATIENT. ENCOURAGING. PROFESSIONAL.
For the next 4–6 weeks, your job is not simply to complete tasks.
Your job is to help a gentleman MOVE. Help him PARTICIPATE. Help him GET STRONGER.
And help his wife have the space to step away from being the caregiver every moment of the day and spend some time simply being his lovely bride.
If you are a PTA, PTA student, physical therapy student, kinesiology/exercise science student, CNA, nursing student, or experienced mobility-focused caregiver and this sounds like the kind of work you would enjoy, we would love to meet you. This is an immediate job opening.
Hit reply and provide your full name, phone number and email and we will contact you within 24 hours.
Thanks for your time and we look forward to working with you.
Bianca & Alicia.
