Canvasser & Community Booth Worker
Position Overview
We are looking for friendly, outgoing, and motivated Canvassers & Community Booth Workers to help educate local residents about available energy assistance, savings, and efficiency programs offered through Southern California Edison (SCE) and SoCalGas.
In this role, you will interact directly with members of the community at residential locations, community events, shopping centers, and promotional booths. Your primary responsibility is to provide accurate information about available programs, answer basic questions, and help interested individuals learn how they may qualify or take the next steps.
Key Responsibilities
Approach and engage residents and members of the public in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information about Southern California Edison and SoCalGas programs, including available energy-saving, assistance, rebate, and efficiency programs.
Explain program benefits, eligibility requirements, and how interested customers can learn more or apply.
Work door-to-door as a canvasser and/or at designated community booths and events.
Answer basic questions and direct customers to appropriate official program resources when additional assistance is needed.
Collect customer interest or lead information accurately and professionally, when applicable.
Represent the organization and utility programs in a positive, respectful, and professional manner.
Maintain a positive attitude when speaking with individuals who may not be interested.
Meet daily or weekly outreach and engagement goals.
Follow all company policies, outreach guidelines, and applicable program requirements.
Protect customer privacy and handle any collected information responsibly.

Comfortable working outdoors and standing or walking for extended periods.
Previous experience in canvassing, customer service, sales, community outreach, promotions, or event staffing is a plus, but not required.
Bilingual skills, particularly English/Spanish, are a plus.
Must be able to represent the organization professionally in residential and community settings.
