We are looking for a motivated and dependable full-time mobile mechanic who is willing to learn, expand their experience, and grow with our company.
This is a long-term position with steady, year-round work. You will service and repair gasoline vehicles, diesel trucks, heavy construction equipment, and some Tesla/EV vehicles.
SERVICE AREA & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Our current base is in Valley Center, California. However, this is a mobile field-service position and is not limited to San Diego County.
Our service area includes:
* San Diego County
* Orange County
* Los Angeles County, including northern Los Angeles
* Inland Empire
* Areas from the Mexican border through the greater Los Angeles region
Applicants must understand that work locations change regularly. Some days may be local to Valley Center or San Diego, while other assignments may require travel to Orange County, Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, or other Southern California job sites.
Do not apply if you are only looking for work near your home or within San Diego. Dependable travel throughout our entire service area is a required part of this position. A company service truck will be provided for authorized work travel.
PAY & POSITION DETAILS
* $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles
* Service and repair heavy construction equipment
* Troubleshoot engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, emissions systems, and after-treatment systems
* Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
* Respond to field breakdowns and emergency repairs
* Use computer-based diagnostic software
* Assist with Tesla/EV software diagnostics and repairs
* Maintain service records and communicate required parts and repairs
* Keep the service truck, tools, and work areas clean and organized
ON-CALL AVAILABILITY
This position requires dependable after-hours emergency availability, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Our vehicles and equipment operate at different hours, and breakdowns may require an immediate response.
The mechanic must answer calls, communicate an estimated arrival time, and respond when dispatched. All hours worked, including applicable overtime and emergency service calls, will be paid according to law. The exact schedule and on-call expectations will be discussed during the interview.

Experience with Caterpillar, Weiler, paving equipment, skid steers, loaders, rollers, diesel trucks, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, or Tesla diagnostics is a major plus.
