We are seeking a full-time Administrative Office and Inventory Clerk to support daily office operations while also assisting with inventory tracking and coordination. This position is an important front-office support role. The right person must be comfortable answering phones, helping customers, taking accurate messages, directing calls, and stepping in wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly. This role also includes inventory-related responsibilities for raw lumber, flooring, sundries, accessories, and other related materials. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, comfortable using a computer, and able to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative duties may include:
Answering phones and directing calls appropriately
Taking clear and accurate messages
Greeting and assisting customers, vendors, and visitors
Helping customers in person and over the phone
Providing basic customer service and front-office support
Assisting with emails and general correspondence
Filing, scanning, organizing documents, and maintaining records
Completing basic computer work and data entry
Supporting the office team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Filling in at the front desk or office area as needed
Inventory duties may include:
Assisting with inventory tracking and recordkeeping
Helping maintain accurate inventory records for raw lumber, flooring, sundries, accessories, and related materials
Coordinating with office, warehouse, and shop staff regarding inventory needs
Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts
Helping identify discrepancies and communicating inventory updates
Stepping into the warehouse/shop environment as needed for inventory-related tasks
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should:
Be comfortable answering phones and speaking with customers
Communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person
Be organized and detail-oriented
Be able to take accurate notes and messages
Be comfortable working at a computer
Have basic data entry and office skills
Be able to switch between tasks as needed
Work independently and as part of a team
Be willing to learn inventory systems and product categories
Be comfortable occasionally working in a warehouse/shop environment
Be dependable, accurate, and able to follow through on tasks
Physical Requirements
This position may require physical work, including:
Standing, walking, bending, and moving between office and warehouse/shop areas
Assisting with inventory counts and product checks
Lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
Working in a warehouse/shop environment when inventory duties require it
