Employee housing may be available for the right candidate.
So if you've ever thought:
"I'd love to spend a winter in Montana, ski Whitefish Mountain and actually have a job while I'm there..."
This could be it.
FITNESS ROCK STARS WANTED!
Love fitness? Love people? Know how to motivate someone through those last 30 seconds when they're absolutely convinced they can't do one more rep?
We want to meet you.
We're looking for people who bring ENERGY.
Not fake, screaming-at-people energy.
We're talking about the kind of coach who remembers members' names, notices when someone is struggling, celebrates when they hit a new goal, and somehow convinces an entire room that burpees weren't such a terrible idea after all.
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT PEAK COACH IF...
You genuinely LOVE people.
You're a cheerleader at heart—but can be a drill sergeant when necessary.
You naturally motivate people and bring positive energy into a room.
You're comfortable coaching everyone from beginners to serious athletes.
You understand that great coaching means more than demonstrating exercises and starting a timer.
You notice form and aren't afraid to correct it.
You can push someone while still making them feel successful.
You understand the importance of knowing your members and building relationships.
You're reliable and ON TIME. Every time.
You work well as part of a team.
You appreciate a great playlist.
You don't take yourself too seriously.
You're comfortable with sweaty high-fives, themed workouts and the occasional Wacky Sock Wednesday.
Most importantly:
You care about the people you're coaching.
EXPERIENCE IS GREAT. PERSONALITY MATTERS TOO.
Already an experienced group fitness instructor, personal trainer, athlete or coach? Fantastic.
Have a strong fitness background, great people skills and think you'd be an incredible coach but haven't taught group fitness before?
We still want to hear from you.
For the right person, we're willing to help develop your coaching skills.
Certifications are preferred, and appropriate fitness certification will be required depending upon the position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll lead PEAK's high-energy group fitness classes while creating an experience that keeps members wanting to come back.
That means:
Leading safe, challenging and FUN workouts.
Demonstrating exercises and coaching proper form.
Providing modifications for different fitness levels and abilities.
Motivating members individually and as a group.
Learning members' names, goals and personalities.
Helping new members feel comfortable and welcome.
Creating an upbeat, positive atmosphere.
Supporting your fellow coaches.
Being prepared before class starts.
Bringing your own personality to the PEAK experience.
We're not looking for robots.
We want coaches our members look forward to seeing.
SCHEDULE & OPPORTUNITY
We currently have approximately 6–16 classes per week available, with opportunities for additional hours and income for instructors who crush it.
Our primary coaching windows are:
Early mornings: approximately 5:00–10:00 AM
Midday: approximately 11:00 AM–2:00 PM
Evenings: approximately 4:00–7:00 PM
You do NOT need to be available for every time period.
We're open to different arrangements for the right person—including year-round and seasonal positions.
COMPENSATION
Approximately $25–$50/hour depending upon experience, certifications and responsibilities.
Additional earning opportunities may be available through personal training, specialty programs, challenges, workshops and other PEAK programs.
COME FOR THE WINTER. STAY FOR THE LIFESTYLE.
Imagine finishing an early-morning coaching shift and heading up the mountain for the rest of the day.
PEAK's Whitefish and Kalispell locations put you in the heart of Northwest Montana—surrounded by mountains, lakes, trails and some of the best outdoor recreation anywhere.
Winter means skiing and snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and endless mountain adventures.
Summer brings mountain biking, hiking, paddleboarding, boating, fishing and Glacier National Park.
Maybe you want to come out for one great winter.
Maybe you want a summer in the mountains.
Or maybe you come for a season and decide you never want to leave.
Employee housing may be available for the right candidate, including qualified seasonal coaches.
Work hard.
Coach great people.
Then go play in the mountains.
PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF...
You don't really like people.
You're habitually late.
You'd rather look at your phone than interact with members.
You only want to train your own clients.
You have a giant ego.
You think coaching means standing in front of a room and yelling.
Or you're looking for a job where you can simply show up, put in an hour and leave.
That's not PEAK.
SOUND LIKE YOU?
Send us:
A short introduction telling us about yourself.
Your resume or summary of your fitness/coaching background.
Any current fitness certifications.
Your general availability.
Which location interests you: Whitefish, Kalispell or Both.
Whether you're interested in Year-Round or Seasonal coaching.
If seasonal, tell us when you'd like to come and how long you'd like to stay.
If you're relocating, tell us where you're coming from and whether you'd be interested in the potential housing option.
And don't send us some stiff, generic cover letter.
Tell us who you are, what you love to do, and why a season—or a career—coaching at PEAK in Northwest Montana sounds good to you.
If you've made it this far, there's a pretty good chance we'd like to meet you.
