We are looking for a detail-oriented Quoting Specialist to join our cable manufacturing team in Temecula.
This position is responsible for preparing accurate and timely customer quotes by reviewing drawings, BOMs, component pricing, labor requirements, and supplier information. The right candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers and technical information, and proficient in Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review customer and sales requests for quotes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, specifications, and BOMs
• Determine whether quotes are for new products, rebuilds, or revisions
• Identify changes in customer or manufacturing requirements
• Research component availability and pricing
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Verify manufacturer part numbers, quantities, and tolerances
• Estimate assembly time in coordination with manufacturing and scheduling
• Compile completed quote information for the sales team
• Maintain accurate quote files and supporting documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with Word
• Able to research parts, pricing, and availability online
• Comfortable with fractions, percentages, ratios, measurements, and basic technical calculations
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable and consistent attendance
An Excel skills test will be given as part of the interview process.
Previous experience in manufacturing quoting, estimating, purchasing, cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
PAY & BENEFITS
$22.00–$23.50 per hour
