United Staffing Associates is looking for a Bilingual Shop Assistant for a very busy machine shop- They will provide general support around the shop to help maintain cleanliness, organization, part flow, and production support. This position assists with cleaning machines and work areas, deburring, packaging, organizing materials, and helping shop personnel as directed.
Clean machines, work areas, benches, floors, and common shop areas as directed.
Remove chips, scrap, trash, packaging materials, and debris from assigned areas using safe methods.
Deburr, clean, wipe down, and prepare parts as directed by a supervisor, machinist, operator, or quality personnel.
Package finished parts according to instructions to protect parts from damage during handling or shipment.
Move parts, materials, tools, packages, and documents within the shop or to designated areas using safe lifting and handling
Assist with shipping, receiving, labeling, organizing, and staging parts or materials as directed. Maintain shop organization by returning tools, carts, materials, bins, and supplies to assigned locations.
Report maintenance, safety, equipment, quality, or housekeeping issues to a manager or supervisor. Follow all procedures, safety rules, quality requirements, and policies -wear all required PPE
Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the nature and level of the position.
