Anaheim company is looking for a part-time Sheet Metal Grinder / Orbital Sander Operator to help prepare aluminum and steel sheet metal covers and components for powder coating.
Job Duties
. Grind and remove TIG/MIG weld beads from aluminum and steel sheet metal covers
. Use hand grinders and orbital/jitterbug sanders to smooth welded areas
. Blend welds and surrounding surfaces to achieve a smooth, uniform finish
. Prepare parts for powder coating and other finishing processes
. Inspect finished parts for surface quality and consistency
. Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
. Previous experience grinding and finishing sheet metal is strongly preferred
. Experience working with aluminum and stainless/steel sheet metal
. Experience using orbital sanders, jitterbug sanders, angle grinders, and hand tools
. Good attention to detail and ability to produce consistent finishes
. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
. Experience in a sheet metal fabrication or welding shop is a plus
