Looking for a breakfast cook to help us launch morning service.
Southern Twist in Barstow is adding breakfast service and we're looking for a cook to run mornings.
We've built a solid reputation with locals doing real soul food from scratch. Now we're bringing that to breakfast.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING:
- Prepare breakfast items to order throughout morning service
- Cook American-style breakfast dishes and grill items to spec
- Complete opening prep and kitchen setup before service begins
- Maintain portion control and plate consistency on every order
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs to management
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature handling standards
- Keep the station and equipment clean and organized throughout the shift
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Prior experience as a breakfast, short order, or line cook
- Working knowledge of American-style breakfast and grill preparation
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritize under time pressure
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Food handler's license, or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire
