About the position
DanceBUG is seeking a Traveling Camera Operator for a seasonal role from February to June. This position involves traveling across the United States to capture dance competitions using professional camera and livestream production equipment. The company provides all necessary equipment, paid training, flights, hotels, rental cars, and travel expenses. This role utilizes next-generation AI-assisted camera technology in the live event production industry. No prior dance experience is required; experience in filming sports, live events, weddings, concerts, theatre, or other fast-paced productions is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Travel to dance competitions throughout the United States
- Operate professional camera and livestream production equipment
- Capture high-quality performances
- Set up and monitor camera and livestream systems
- Upload and manage event media
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (DanceBUG does not sponsor work visas)
- Live within approximately one hour of a major airport
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Available to travel Thursday through Monday during the season
- Comfortable driving 5-6 hours when required
- Comfortable with long production days and travel
- Able to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Able to pass a criminal background check
