CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN / WORKING FOREMAN
North County San Diego | Full-Time
Established North County general contractor is looking for a motivated Working Foreman who wants to grow with our company.
We are not looking for someone who thinks they already know everything. We want someone who knows construction, works hard, learns quickly, communicates well, and is interested in becoming a key part of our operation.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Solid hands-on construction experience
- Experience with framing, remodeling and general building
- Ability to read plans and understand basic construction details
- Comfortable leading a small crew and coordinating subcontractors
- Organized and able to think ahead
- Good communication with homeowners, employees and subcontractors
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Shows up on time and takes ownership of the job
- Comfortable using a phone for photos, texts, schedules and job documentation
- Willing to learn and follow our systems and methods
You don't need 20 years of superintendent experience.
We're more interested in ability, attitude, common sense and motivation than an impressive résumé.
THE JOB
You'll work directly with the owner and gradually take responsibility for running projects, including:
- Daily jobsite supervision
- Directing employees and subcontractors
- Reading plans and laying out work
- Material coordination
- Quality control
- Scheduling and preparing for upcoming work
- Communicating job progress
- Keeping projects clean, organized and moving
This is a hands-on position. We're looking for someone who's comfortable managing the job but isn't afraid to grab tools and work alongside the crew when necessary.
