We are currently looking for a PART TIME Front Desk / Guest Service Agent.
What you will be doing:
Provides ENTHUSIASTIC, FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, AND GRACIOUS assistance to all Guests and fellow employees and maintains this level of service at all times. Accommodates the Guests' needs by providing personalized and individual assistance in arranging required services to ensure a positive Guest experience. Initiates friendly conversation with Guests and responds to all Guests' questions/problems/needs quickly and efficiently taking personal responsibility to meet or exceed Guest expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Registration and Check-Out:
Counts bank.
Organizes the Front Desk and prepares for check-ins.
Uses Front Office Property Management System (Opera)
Greets and welcomes Guests to Hotel with a big genuine smile, welcoming body language, tone of voice and hospitality greeting.
Establishes the payment method during check in. Checks Photo I.D.
Secures authorization for credit cards.
Uses effective sales techniques including up-selling.
Check-In guests into their Guestrooms and offer assistance with any other needs.
Processes Guest check-outs, and bids the Guests farewell, a safe journey, and an invitation to return.
Administrative
Prepares and uses an Arrivals List.
Blocks and unblocks rooms.
Processes room changes.
Posts Guest charges and payments.
Adjusts disputed Guest charges.
Reconciles room status with the PM Housekeeping Report.
Maintains a Guest Information Directory and keeps area changes updated.
Completes Shift Check List entirely and files when finished.
Responsible for Bank including reporting of discrepancies.
Issues and controls keys.
Performs bucket checks.
Additional Guest Services (During the check-in and check-out process, and any other time where Guest Service is needed):
Prepares maps and provides directions.
Helps Guests with special requests.
Responds to questions about facilities and events. Informs Guests of facilities, hours of operation, promotes Hanagi, Bistro, Deli/Gift Gallery, Lounge, Room Service, Pool, Game Room, Disney Shuttle, In-room Safe, Voice Mail, etc.
Handles Guest Service problems.
Follows Guest Privacy and Security Procedures.
Processes Wake Up Calls.
Makes Guest reservations.
Processes Guest mail, packages and faxes.
Uses copy machine.
Arranges and assists Guests with Tour Information, Bookings, and Car Rental referrals according to established Hotel policy and procedure.
Assures Guest Satisfaction. Communicates with management personnel in case of problems.
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures.
Is familiar with daily Hotel functions/events.
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Front Desk area. Makes sure Front Desk is well stocked.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
At all times maintain the Front Desk area in a clean and orderly state, project favorable image of the Hotel to the public.
Ability to perform other duties as requested or assigned by a member of hotel management.
Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Provides customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary.
Prior Front Office or travel industry experience preferred, Opera System experience preferred but not required.
The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must always be projected.
