Truespoke® Wire Wheels — Fallbrook, CA
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9 AM–5:00 PM
Please apply by sending your resume by email only.
Truespoke® Wire Wheels is looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to help us prepare, inspect, assemble, pack, and ship specialty automotive wire wheels and related products.
This is primarily a hands-on automotive operations position — not a sales job.
At first, the majority of your day will be spent working with our team to prepare customer orders, inspect wheels and parts for quality, perform light assembly, pack products, and get orders ready for shipment.
Because we are a small company, you will also occasionally answer the telephone, assist customers who visit our Fallbrook showroom, and help with other day-to-day operations. As you become familiar with our products and gain experience, there will be opportunities to assist customers more extensively and take sales orders.
About Truespoke®
Truespoke® has been in business since 1974 — 52 years — serving the classic car, lowrider, Cadillac, hot rod, restoration, and collector-car communities.
We are a small, established company with customers throughout the United States and around the world. We work as a team, and everyone helps where needed.
We are looking for someone interested in becoming a dependable, long-term member of that team. Our last two employees in this position each remained with us for more than 10 years. The employee who you would be replacing has worked here 13 years and is now retiring.
What You Will Do
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Preparing wire wheels and automotive products for customer orders
Inspecting wheels, parts, and accessories for quality and accuracy
Performing light assembly and preparation of products
Pulling the correct parts and accessories for each order
Packing wheels and automotive products carefully for shipment
Preparing and organizing outgoing shipments
Assisting with receiving incoming products and supplies
Keeping orders organized and making sure they are complete before shipping
Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Assisting other team members as needed
You will also occasionally:
Answer incoming telephone calls
Greet and assist customers who visit our Fallbrook location
Look up products and customer information on a computer
Make local pickups or deliveries using the company van
Help with occasional car shows or company events
As you gain product knowledge and experience, you may also begin assisting customers with product questions and taking sales orders.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable doing hands-on work throughout the day
Careful and detail-oriented
Able to follow instructions and established procedures
Willing to learn about wire wheels, automotive parts, and wheel fitment
Comfortable working as part of a small team
Able to communicate politely with customers in person and on the telephone
Willing to help wherever needed
Automotive Experience Is a Plus
Experience with automotive parts is strongly preferred.
A background with any of the following would be especially helpful:
Auto parts stores
Wheel and tire shops
Automotive repair shops
Restoration or classic-car shops
Dealership parts departments
Performance or custom automotive shops
Shipping, warehouse, or automotive order fulfillment
Experience at companies such as NAPA, O'Reilly Auto Parts, AutoZone, or similar automotive businesses would be useful.
Knowledge of wheels, tires, lug nuts, bolt patterns, classic cars, Cadillacs, lowriders, or automotive fitment is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable because many of our customers speak Spanish
Basic computer skills, such as emails, searching the web and making notes.
Good attention to detail
Ability to safely lift, move, pack, and handle automotive wheels and products. A wheel and tire can weigh up to 70 pounds.
Valid California driver's license
Good driving record and ability to drive a company van
Reliable transportation to and from work
Good work references
A dependable and team-oriented attitude
This Position May Be a Good Fit If You...
Enjoy working with cars and automotive products but don't want to sit behind a desk all day. Especially Lowriders.
You may have worked in an auto parts store, tire shop, warehouse, shipping department, dealership, repair shop, or other hands-on automotive environment.
You should be comfortable spending much of your day preparing orders, inspecting products, assembling components, packing wheels, and getting shipments out the door accurately and on time.
Customer service and sales are part of the position, but they are not the primary focus when you first start. We will teach you our products, and additional customer-service and sales responsibilities can come as your knowledge grows.
