Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and put away incoming inventory.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Create shipping labels using FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping software.
Package, label, and prepare hazardous material (Hazmat) shipments in accordance with applicable DOT and IATA regulations.
Prepare Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) for hazardous material shipments.
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
Inspect inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company procedures.
Accurately count and record inventory transactions.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management to maintain inventory accuracy.
Properly package products and secure pallets to prevent shipping damage.
Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all company policies, AS9120 quality procedures, and safety regulations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to perform accurate work.
Ability to carefully review and compare part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, labels, and supporting documentation.
Must be willing to double-check work and immediately report any discrepancy or uncertainty.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Shipping and receiving experience preferred.
Experience using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, or similar shipping software preferred.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Hazmat shipping experience is preferred but not required. DOT 49 CFR and IATA Dangerous Goods training and certification will be provided.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using QuickBooks for inventory transactions and data entry preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Previous experience in the aerospace, defense, fastener, chemical distribution industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
Experience handling hazardous materials.
