Ultimately, an outstanding technician should be able to demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, as well as achieve exceptional customer service. Proficiency in referring to appliance manuals to resolve difficult problems is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
Examine client appliances and identify the reasons for breakdown.
Evaluate and troubleshoot problems.
Provide cost estimates for fixing damaged appliances.
Repair or replace damaged appliances after receiving customer approval.
Advise customers on how to use appliances properly.
Stay up to date with the latest appliance technologies and parts.
Maintain accurate records of all items and parts used to repair, replace, or maintain appliances.
Ensure adherence to company standards and follow best practices of repair service.
Qualifications and Preferences
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience repairing, installing, and maintaining home appliances.
Ability to use hand tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Owning your own tools is a plus.
