Mathura witnessed Krishna's birth in Kansa's prison 5,000 years ago, commemorated at Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Vrindavan (forest of tulsi) was Krishna's childhood playground where he performed miraculous leelas, danced the eternal Raas with Radha and the gopis, and lifted Govardhan Hill.
