Role Description The Vice President of Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL, responsible for leading all aspects of the resort’s development lifecycle. This role oversees project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, and coordinates with architects, contractors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful execution. The individual will develop and implement capital and fundraising strategies, engage potential equity partners and philanthropic supporters, and manage relationships with lenders and investors. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring project performance, managing risk, preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, zoning, and community requirements. The Vice President of Development will also collaborate closely with executive leadership to refine the project vision, support marketing and pre-opening initiatives, and help position the resort for long-term financial and operational success.
- Qualifications
- Strong skills in Budgeting and financial oversight, including forecasting, cash flow management, and coordination with finance and accounting teams.
- Proven Project Management capabilities, with experience leading complex real estate, hospitality, or large-scale development projects from concept through completion.
- Extensive background in real estate or resort development, hospitality, or related industries; familiarity with luxury and/or faith-based projects is highly beneficial.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and manage external vendors, consultants, and construction teams while maintaining quality and cost controls.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities for presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Development, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS Real Estate, or similar) preferred.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability
