Seasats builds unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) that operate at sea for months at a time. As we continue to grow production, we're looking for a skilled Composite Fabricator to join our manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role focused on assembling composite structures into finished boats. You'll be bonding hulls, decks, bulkheads, mounts, and structural components using epoxy adhesives while working closely with our engineering and production teams. If you enjoy building things that have to be strong, reliable, and built right the first time, we'd like to talk.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Bond composite structures using structural epoxy adhesives
- Prepare bonding surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and other surface prep techniques
- Install bonded inserts, brackets, mounting plates, and other hardware
- Read engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Trim, drill, fit, and finish composite components
- Use fixtures and jigs to ensure accurate, repeatable assemblies
- Inspect finished work for quality and workmanship
- Work with engineering to improve manufacturing processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, or other composite materials
- Experience with structural bonding and epoxy adhesives
- Ability to read drawings or follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, communicative, and able to work well on a team
**Marine or boatbuilding experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Perks
- $71,000-$80,000 depending on experience
