We are currently completing construction of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility featuring automated processing lines, overhead hoist systems, and expanded production capabilities. We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality organization as we prepare for the next phase of growth.
Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with aerospace, defense, and customer requirements.
This individual will lead our certification efforts for Nadcap and ISO 9001, support customer audits, oversee quality assurance activities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
This is a leadership position with significant influence on the future growth of the company.
Responsibilities
Lead implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Manage and maintain ISO 9001 certification
Lead Nadcap accreditation activities, audits, and corrective actions
Prepare the organization for customer, supplier, regulatory, and third-party audits
Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation
Manage internal audit programs and management reviews
Conduct root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA)
Analyze quality metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Supervise inspection and laboratory activities
Review customer specifications, engineering requirements, and contract documents
Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to resolve quality issues
Interface directly with aerospace and defense customers regarding quality matters
Train employees on quality procedures and regulatory requirements
Support future implementation of additional quality and cybersecurity standards as the company grows
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 5 years of Quality Management experience in aerospace manufacturing or metal finishing
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
Experience with Nadcap accreditation
Experience leading customer and third-party audits
Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience with aerospace special processes
Knowledge of anodizing, chemical conversion coatings, passivation, electroless nickel, painting, or related finishing processes
Familiarity with AS9100
Knowledge of MIL specifications, AMS specifications, and aerospace customer requirements
Experience working with companies serving Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX, General Atomics, or similar aerospace and defense customers
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Internal or Lead Auditor certification
