Job Description
American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) seeks applications for the 2027-2028 academic year for two full-time, tenured or tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Depending on qualifications, the appointee to one or both of these positions may be recommended for tenure at the time of hiring. The positions are in (a) constitutional law, including the First Amendment and free expression, and (b) tort law. Many strong applicants for the position in torts may also have an interest in an additional field.
Candidates must hold a J.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree by the date of their application. We seek candidates who will be innovative and productive scholars, exemplary teachers, and dynamic and engaged members of the AUWCL community.
