Position Summary
As an IT Support Technician, you are responsible for providing basic technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Your duties include assisting with setting up and maintaining computers, printers, phones, tablets, and other office equipment, as well as installing and updating software applications. Additionally, you are expected to handle user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining computers, printers, and other office equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues and assist with network configuration.
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system and resolve IT-related issues.
- Install and update software applications and operating systems.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in user account management, including password resets and access permissions, as well as managing Microsoft 365 services, Verizon MDM, JAMF, and Pulseway.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or desktop support role preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365 applications
- Familiarity with Verizon MDM, JAMF, and Pulseway or comparable endpoint management platforms is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity.
- Experience installing and configuring hardware, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Understanding of Active Directory, user account management, and access control.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills - ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
