Position Overview
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, and spearhead the month-end closing process. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and working with external CPA firm.
- Reconciliations & Analysis: Perform and review complex bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and variance analyses.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and prepare required schedules and documentation for external auditors and tax advisors. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in current financial workflows and implement scalable systems, policies, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Credentials: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and hands-on experience with mid-to-enterprise level ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks Enterprise).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Pay: $74,160.80 - $94,311.93 per year
