An expanding restaurant group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations at one of its locations in San Diego.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on the restaurant floor, not behind a desk. We're looking for a hospitality professional who leads by example, enjoys coaching teams in real time, and takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences.
What You'll Do:
As the Restaurant Floor Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day dining room operations while ensuring every guest receives outstanding hospitality.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and supervise daily service shifts
Maintain a visible presence on the restaurant floor throughout service
Coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house team members
Ensure smooth communication between the dining room and kitchen
Monitor service quality, pacing, and guest satisfaction
Resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently
Jump in wherever needed—including assisting with service during peak business periods
Support opening and closing procedures
Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational execution
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture built on accountability and hospitality
This role is highly operational. Successful managers enjoy being actively involved in the flow of service and are energized by supporting both guests and employees throughout every shift.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous restaurant management or floor management experience
Excels in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Is an exceptional communicator and natural leader
Leads with positivity, urgency, and professionalism
Enjoys coaching others and building strong teams
Remains calm and solution-oriented under pressure
Is passionate about genuine hospitality and guest satisfaction
Is willing to roll up their sleeves and support the operation wherever needed
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $73,000–$78,000 annually (including bonus)
15 days of paid vacation

Typical schedule of 50–55 hours per week
