Role Description The Director of Facilities Management is a full-time, on-site role located at Northwood Club in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role oversees all aspects of facility operations, including building maintenance, repairs, safety, and compliance across the clubhouse, golf course facilities, fitness, racquets, and common areas. The director develops and manages facility budgets, coordinates vendor relationships, plans preventative maintenance schedules, and ensures efficient use of resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising facilities staff, prioritizing work orders, conducting regular inspections, monitoring building systems, and responding to urgent maintenance issues. The role collaborates with department leaders to support member events and club activities, while maintaining high standards of appearance, functionality, and service.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including team management, scheduling, and performance coaching.
- Experience in facilities operations and Facility Management (FM), with a track record of overseeing complex, multi-building environments.
- Proficiency in building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair coordination.
- Demonstrated budgeting and cost control abilities, including forecasting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for risk management in hospitality or club settings.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Relevant education or certifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; experience in hospitality, country clubs, or resorts is highly beneficial.
