Role Description The Executive Director of Membership & Events is a full-time, on-site role located in Palm Coast, FL. This position is responsible for overseeing membership growth, retention, and engagement, including developing and implementing strategies to attract new members and strengthen relationships with existing members. The role includes planning, organizing, and executing a calendar of events such as networking programs, educational workshops, and signature community events, while ensuring high-quality experiences for attendees and sponsors. Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing event logistics, coordinating with vendors, preparing budgets, tracking performance metrics, and reporting outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, present to groups, and build professional relationships.
- Sales skills, with a track record of membership recruitment, sponsorship development, and revenue generation.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and event management, from concept through execution and post-event evaluation.
- Budgeting skills, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting for membership programs and events.
- Experience in community or nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, or business associations is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with common office software and CRM or membership management systems.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
