As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our production, inventory, fulfillment, and Shopify operations.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Local Hoops, ensuring that products move seamlessly from concept to customer. This role requires strong experience in fashion or apparel production, inventory management, vendor relations, and Shopify e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building systems that support growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Vendor Management
- Manage the end-to-end production process for apparel and merchandise collections.
- Coordinate with domestic and international manufacturers to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Track production schedules and proactively resolve supply chain challenges.
- Manage purchase orders, vendor communications, and product development timelines.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards.
Inventory & Fulfillment
- Oversee inventory forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment planning.
- Monitor stock levels and optimize inventory turnover.
- Coordinate with warehouses and fulfillment partners to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Develop processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Shopify & E-Commerce Operations
- Manage and optimize the Shopify storefront.
- Maintain product listings, inventory synchronization, pricing, collections, and merchandising.
- Coordinate product launches and seasonal releases.
- Implement and manage Shopify apps and operational integrations.
- Monitor website performance, customer experience, and operational KPIs.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements.
- Build scalable systems that support company growth.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on production, inventory, fulfillment, and sales performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to support strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of experience in operations management within apparel, fashion, retail, or consumer products.
- Strong experience with retail production and vendor management.
- Hands-on Shopify experience, including inventory and order management.
- Knowledge of supply chain, fulfillment, and inventory planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred
- Experience with apparel manufacturing and sourcing.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems.
- Experience scaling direct-to-consumer brands.
- Passion for basketball, sports, apparel, or community-focused brands.
