Job Description
Frank Darling is a female-founded fine jewelry brand making custom engagement rings feel exciting, personal, and refreshingly human. Known for our modern design and sustainability-minded approach, we've been featured in Vogue, WSJ, Bloomberg, Glossy, and more.
We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This role sits at the heart of our creative output—leading the visual direction of our customer communications, from highly targeted email campaigns to brand-setting social and print work. You'll own the creative strategy across multiple channels, elevate our design standards, mentor a junior graphic designer, and partner closely with email, social, product, and brand teams to create beautiful, commercially effective work. If you're a design leader with a sharp eye for craft, a conviction around brand integrity, and the ability to move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, we'd love to meet you.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Creative Direction & Design Leadership
- Shape and lead the creative vision across email, digital marketing, and brand communications, establishing and upholding strong design standards across all channels
- Develop visually distinctive and results-driven work that captures attention, drives conversions, and builds customer loyalty
- Serve as keeper of the Frank Darling brand aesthetic—ensuring coherent visual storytelling that's immediately recognizable and rooted in our values
- Champion innovation in our creative output, introducing thoughtful ideas and approaches that keep our visual identity fresh and culturally connected
- Contribute to creative work across our full marketing ecosystem, including web, paid campaigns, social platforms, and content initiatives
Email & Design Systems
- Build and refine our email design infrastructure—including reusable frameworks that streamline production without sacrificing quality
- Create, test, and refine email campaigns with careful attention to visual hierarchy, user experience, accessibility standards, responsiveness, and performance metrics
- Partner closely with our email & SMS agency and internal teams to deliver customer-first creative for weekly marketing emails and flows
Execution & Production
- Produce compelling visual assets for email, organic and paid social channels, digital ads, and print materials for our showrooms
- Prepare print-ready files and production specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to vendor requirements
- Translate designs across formats and platforms, ensuring cohesion and quality regardless of channel or medium
Team & Process Leadership
- Coach and develop a junior designer through constructive feedback and guidance aimed at raising overall creative quality
- Identify opportunities to streamline design workflows and processes, working toward faster iteration and improved output
- Partner with the Marketing Director on larger creative initiatives and team growth
- Champion experiences that feel thoughtful and polished at every customer touchpoint
Requirements and Experience:
- Portfolio showing strong work in digital design, integrated campaigns, and email/marketing automation design
- Expert in email design best practices, responsive design, and customer lifecycle communications
- Demonstrated success building creative work that merges brand narrative with measurable business outcomes
- Fluent in Figma and the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong foundation in typography, composition, color theory, inclusive design practices, and design systems thinking
- Background working across multiple channels—email, websites, apps, paid social, and owned social platforms
- Professional experience at a brand, agency, or direct-to-consumer company, managing design at meaningful scale
- Prior experience coaching or developing junior team members is a plus
- Background in jewelry, fashion, beauty, or luxury sectors preferred but not essential
