Sr. Business Analyst - FX Trading PlatformsAbout the RoleWe are seeking a
Sr. Business Analyst - FX Trading Platforms to support a front-office trading technology organization responsible for mission-critical Order Management, Execution, Pricing, Risk, and P&L platforms. This is a highly hands-on Business Analyst role focused on trading workflows, client onboarding, OMS implementations, and FIX connectivity.
Although the title may align with Product Owner responsibilities, the team is seeking a true practitioner who can gather requirements, configure workflows, troubleshoot issues independently, and work directly with traders and clients to deliver solutions in real time.
The ideal candidate possesses deep buy-side trading expertise and can own implementations from requirements through testing and production readiness.
Responsibilities- Gather and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- Configure and support Order Management System (OMS) workflows.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, traders, and technology teams.
- Lead client onboarding and integration activities.
- Own implementations from configuration through end-to-end testing.
- Troubleshoot order flow and trading issues independently.
- Analyze FIX messages and logs to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
- Recommend workflow improvements and alternative solutions to clients.
- Manage broker mappings, commissions, and workflow configurations.
- Perform trade flow validation and testing across integrated systems.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate work within Agile environments using Jira and Scrum methodologies.
- Drive issues to resolution while maintaining exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications- 15+ years of experience within financial services.
- Strong front-office experience supporting buy-side trading environments.
- Subject matter expertise in FX, Equities, and/or Fixed Income trading workflows.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
- Hands-on Order Management System implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of OMS/EMS processes and integrations.
- Experience reading and troubleshooting FIX messages without vendor support.
- Ability to identify missing FIX tags and recommend proper configurations.
- Experience supporting client integrations and onboarding activities.
- Basic SQL querying and trade data analysis experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with strong client-facing presence.
Required Technical ExperienceOrder Management SystemsHands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- FlexTrade
- Charles River
- Aladdin
- Fidessa
- TS Imagine
- Proprietary OMS platforms
Experience should be focused on trading functionality rather than portfolio management capabilities.
FIX ProtocolCandidates should be able to:
- Read and interpret FIX messages.
- Troubleshoot order failures independently.
- Access and analyze logs.
- Identify missing tags and message issues.
- Advise clients on proper FIX configurations.
- Recommend workflow solutions and alternatives.
Trading Platforms & Workflow Experience- FX trading platforms and workflows.
- Equities and/or Fixed Income asset classes.
- Buy-side trading environments.
- OMS-to-EMS integrations.
- Broker mappings and commissions.
- Client onboarding and new asset class implementations.
- End-to-end testing and trade flow validation.
- Trade and market data analysis.
- SQL querying.
Preferred Experience- OMS migrations and platform implementations.
- Workflow design and configuration.
- FIX certifications and connectivity projects.
- Exposure to Tradeweb, MarketAxess, and Bloomberg platforms.
- Project and vendor management experience.
- Leadership experience managing small teams.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Scrum, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering, Product, Business, and Operations teams.

Location & Schedule- Hybrid schedule with four days onsite per week.
- Early start schedule (8:00 AM) to support global trading teams.
