Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Cook.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals using proper techniques, including knife skills and food handling best practices
Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, adhering strictly to food safety standards
Handle food with care during preparation, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation
Contribute to catering events by preparing special dishes and assisting with large-scale meal production
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen equipment operation
Experience
Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of menu planning, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
Familiarity with the food industry standards for hygiene, sanitation, and quality control
Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are advantageous
Experience in food service roles that involve serving customers or residents in a fast-paced setting
Background in culinary arts or related fields demonstrating a passion for food preparation and presentation
