The Technical Quality Assurance Inspector IV is an expert in inspection and quality assurance processes, responsible for overseeing the quality assurance program for aircraft systems, production components, and support operations. This role involves leading complex inspections, developing quality standards, and providing strategic recommendations to improve product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead complex inspections of aircraft systems, production components, and support operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
- Validate the proper installation and serviceability of operational components.
- Serve as the on-site Aviation Safety Official and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Capture, analyze, and document process information to confirm compliance or identify deviations from standards.
- Provide expert feedback and training to customers and internal teams on quality standards and procedures.
- Maintain and update comprehensive quality documentation and records.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for identified issues.
- Lead quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior inspectors and support staff.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 5+ Years experience in Quality Inspection or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and documents.
- Extensive understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
- Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Products.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Experience drafting work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
- Experience with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or other measuring equipment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards.
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
