Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. The position reports to the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director. This position will have oversight of a staff member and assist with management of day-to-day operations in conjunction with peer Associate AD.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Manages all athletic compliance matters as they relate to one or more high profile programs with an emphasis on basketball, including oversight of adherence to Bylaw(s) 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 20. Provides timely rules education to all individuals involved within the program(s). Monitoring the program activities. Provides game day support at home and away contests, ensuring their adherence with all NCAA, CSC, Big Ten Conference and institutional requirements. Manages CAPS and HyperWallet for their respective sports. Manages the Office of Athletic Compliance’s oversight of the Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes (ASSSA) staff to ensure compliance with all NCAA and Big Ten Conference legislation. Manages and oversees the Office of Athletic Compliance’s comprehensive rules education program which includes educational efforts towards all groups that fall under the purview of NCAA legislation (coaches, staff, student-athletes, part-time employees, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Five (5) years of minimum relevant experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of NCAA Division I and CSC rules.
- Sound working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and LSDBi.
