The Gent’s Corner Haircuts & Shaves is looking for a strong Barber Manager / Shop Lead to help lead one of our barbershop locations.
We are not looking for just another barber. We are looking for a leader.
This position is for someone who has the skill, discipline, attitude, and leadership capacity to help take our shop to the next level.

Position:
Full-Time Barber Manager / Shop Lead & Trainer
Pay:
- $28.50 to $35 per hour depending on experience

What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who can lead by example, follow systems, implement structure, and help develop the team.
The right person must be strong in men’s grooming, customer service, leadership, training, and day-to-day shop operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of barbering experience
- Strong experience with all types of men’s haircuts
- Strong fade, taper, scissor, beard, and styling skills
- Experience with different hair textures
- Valid California barber or cosmetology license
- Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to train and develop junior barbers
- Strong customer service skills
- Responsible, dependable, and professional
- Comfortable using email, reports, Google Workspace, and basic computer systems
- Problem solver who can handle shop issues without drama
- Knowledge of scheduling, team accountability, and basic California employee rules
- Understands the importance of meal breaks, attendance, professionalism, and shop standards
- Able to help with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training barbers
Responsibilities:
- Lead the shop floor by example
- Maintain high haircut and customer service standards
- Train barbers on new techniques and shop expectations
- Help junior barbers improve their skills
- Make sure the shop runs clean, professional, and organized
- Help enforce systems, schedules, policies, and standards
- Communicate with ownership and team members
- Assist with emails, reports, employee issues, and daily operations
- Help recruit and interview new barbers
- Protect the culture of the shop
- Represent The Gent’s Corner brand with professionalism
