The Vice President of Operations will run the community operations of this 26 year family-owned and operated multifamily company. Property/Regional Managers will report directly to you. You will report directly to the Owner. You will be the second person to ever have this job in our company’s history. We are growing incrementally, at 500-1000 units per year.

You will be responsible for and have control over all aspects of property performance.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000, plus performance-based bonus

What you'll be doing:
- Design, implement, and audit company-wide standard operating procedures.
- Build and foster high performing teams across the portfolio.
- Review, negotiate and sign property-level contracts.
- Coordinate onsite due diligence for new asset acquisitions and facilitate property dispositions as needed.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, deliver weekly high-level trend analyses, operating statement reviews, and performance updates directly to Ownership.
- Strategize, approve, and track both emergency and budgeted capital improvement initiatives, ensuring meticulous documentation, contract negotiation, and timely completion.
- Enforce a rigorous quality control schedule involving regular digital audits and routine physical site inspections to protect asset health.
Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in property management leadership, or a similar fast-paced operations role. Experience with Appfolio a plus.
- Ability build and nurture teams. Strong people skills both recruiting/hiring and evaluating/mentoring.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely driven by seeing positive results.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep projects moving forward.
- Solid financial acumen with a solid understanding of how to read and manage P&Ls. A proven track record of creating accurate annual budgets, tracking expenses, and handling financial forecasting.
- Great communication skills—while managing up and down.
- A valid state-issued Driver’s License and a safe, clean driving record are required for this role.
