Position Summary
Alta Trust Company is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our internal technology environment. This role will be responsible for employee technology support, endpoint management, Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity initiatives, and assistance with SOC 2 compliance activities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT generalist who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, improving processes, and implementing technology solutions in a growing organization. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd User Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee technology issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and application problems.
- Provide support for Windows laptops, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, conferencing systems, and mobile devices.
- Maintain IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
Endpoint and Device Management
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and retire company laptops and other devices.
- Manage device inventory and lifecycle processes.
- Administer endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune.
- Ensure devices meet company security standards and patching requirements.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage user accounts, licensing, permissions, and access controls.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and related services.
- Support onboarding, role changes, and offboarding processes.
- Assist with identity and access management initiatives.
Security and Compliance
- Assist with SOC 2 compliance activities, including evidence collection and documentation.
- Monitor security alerts and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Support vulnerability management and endpoint security initiatives.
- Participate in security awareness training and policy administration.
- Assist with periodic access reviews and control testing.
IT Operations
- Coordinate with managed service providers, software vendors, and security partners.
- Maintain asset inventories and technology records.
- Assist with software implementation and technology projects.
- Recommend improvements to systems, processes, and security controls.
Automation and Technical Projects
- Develop and maintain scripts and automations using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
- Assist with internal technology projects and application support.
- Support basic database and reporting tasks when needed.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or a similar role.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience supporting Windows-based systems and business applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred
- Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals.
- Experience working with managed service providers.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, C#, or software development concepts.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
