Job Summary and Qualifications
Every patient deserves attentive, timely, and well‑coordinated care. As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources, you’ll help teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.
Your role will include:
- Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
- Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
- Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
- Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
- Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
- Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree
- Registered Nurse Diploma

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
