Production Floor Supervisor / Lead (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Marianne’s Ice Cream has been a Santa Cruz institution for over 75 years. We make and deliver super-premium ice cream to our scoop shops and partners across the region.
Our production team plays a critical role in protecting the quality, consistency, and reputation we’ve built over generations.
The Role
We’re hiring a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our ice cream manufacturing department. This is a floor-first role working directly alongside the production team every day.
You’ll coordinate the team in real time, maintain productivity and quality standards, solve problems throughout the shift, drive improvements, and work the lines wherever needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. You’ll work with other leaders to ensure communication and coordination in fulfilling production demand.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across multiple production lines
- Coordinate the team throughout the shift
- Step into any role needed to keep production moving
- Maintain productivity, food safety, sanitation, quality, and accountability standards
- Develop & cross-train team members to improve flexibility and coverage
- Help improve organization, workflow, and production efficiency
- Coordinate with Leadership, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams
- Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues and help reduce downtime
- Support onboarding, training, and timecard management
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Production/manufacturing leadership experience
- Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting production equipment ability
- Able to repeatedly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds to chest height throughout the shift
- Able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and crouch as part of daily tasks
- Willingness to work overtime when needed

Schedule
- Typical schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00am – 2:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available, especially during peak production periods
- Some holidays required
Pay & Benefits
- $32–38/hour depending on experience
