We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Family Law Attorney to join our growing legal team in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most challenging legal matters. The ideal candidate will combine strong legal advocacy skills with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
As a Family Law Attorney, you will represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody and visitation, support disputes, and domestic violence proceedings. You will play a critical role in providing strategic legal counsel while protecting your clients' rights and best interests throughout every stage of the legal process.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation, child and spousal support, and domestic violence cases.
Advocate for clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, declarations, discovery, and other legal documents.
Negotiate favorable resolutions while maintaining professionalism and a client-centered approach.
Manage and maintain case files with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Collaborate effectively with paralegals and support staff to provide exceptional legal representation.
Stay informed of developments in California family law and relevant legal procedures.
Qualifications
Active California Bar License in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of family law experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven negotiation and advocacy skills.
Experience working in a law office environment; legal administrative experience is a plus.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service.
